Founded in 1973 by Mr Giulio Giacchero, the group has specifically and uninterruptedly devoted to researches and to the contextual revival of the main features of the folk culture: songs, dances, music and theatre performances of specific daily life moments.

Our performances can last from a few minutes up to two hours about; they are always structured with the aim of creating theme pictures and their atmospheres. Taking part to parades has also been foreseen.

The group is made up of about 40 elements divided into different sections: songs, dances, instrumentalists and technicians and owns a sound and light system suitable for every situation.

Costumes

The costumes are the typical ones of Lanzo Valleys: in order to dance the courante men wear “del bordo” cardigans from Ala Valley and women wear the “ciosina” dress, the typical lace bonnet, while singers and musicians wear clothes from the country tradition.

The shows

Our group has been invited to take part in important national and international shows and folk gatherings to represent Italy (about 1000 performances) and has always performed with the unmistakable feature of professionals but without going too far from the genuine passion that comes from the fact of believing in our own roots, together with our well-known artistic and organizational professionalism.

The group organizes the International Folk Show in cooperation with local authorities and private corporations.

and has joined the’UFI, ((Italian Folk Union)) recognized by the Italian Ministry, of which it is also one of the founder firms.
