The Folk Group called “ Popular Traditions from Chisone Valley and Germanasca Valley, La Tèto Aut ( meaning “with flags flying”) was born in 1982, thanks to some valley-culture lovers after long and meticulous researches made “on the spot”.

It is a regular Cultural Association with its seat in Roure, in the province of Turin and it is made of about forty elements among whom dancers and musicians.

Music, dances and costumes are typical of the two valleys.

Among other dances, the courenta, typical dance of these valleys, is performed with instruments like accordions, flutes and hurdy-gurdies.

The group has taken part in performances in many Italian, European and Argentinian towns.
